Catherine Dunn
Painting

Catherine Dunn is a full-time contemporary Artist based in Northland.

She has been a practising painter and sculptor for over 3 decades working mostly in acrylic as well as oils and cold wax medium.

As an aside from painting, Catherine enjoys building assemblage sculpture from recycled wood and metal.

Catherine's work is held in private collections abroad and in New Zealand.

"I am motivated and inspired by my connection to the environment and those around me and how they shape
the various layers of awareness and growth within myself and others. Much of my work especially in recent years is an expression of an inner landscape, explored through layers of oil and cold wax medium, pigments, charcoal and texture".

Catherine will be exhibiting at Little Black Gallery Stop 42  during KOAST as part of Rhythms of the North, an exhibition designed to celebrate KOAST - Tai Tokerau Art Trail and our Northland artists.
