Janette Walker grew up in Lancashire, England, inspired by her mother’s ever-present camera and love of photography. Following in her mother’s footsteps, Janette bought her first point-and-shoot camera after leaving home, capturing moments with a similar passion.
Since moving to New Zealand in 2003, Janette has developed a deep appreciation for the country’s landscapes, particularly the sunrises over beaches near her North Shore home. In 2012, she pursued a Diploma in Professional Photography, which she completed in 2013. While initially drawn to landscape photography, Janette soon discovered a passion for floral subjects.
Investing in a macro lens, she became fascinated with capturing the intricate details of flowers, creating soft, dreamy images that highlight nature’s delicate beauty. Inspired by the natural world, Janette continues to share its wonder through her evocative photography.
