Monica is a creative compulsive with a deep interest in music, art, dance, and the practices of recycling and upcycling. She enjoys painting on a range of substrates, including doors, surfboards, canvas, and paddles, and working with found and rescued objects.
Monica also finds fulfillment in playing a subtle teaching role, gently guiding others toward discovering their own unique creative paths. For KOAST, Monica explores themes such as the land, our country, the stars and moon, love, children, health, and everything in between. Proceeds from the exhibition will go towards funding surgery for her daughter, who suffers from a chronic and little-known illness. This exhibition represents her ultimate rescue plan; one she intends to document and share through social media.
