Sasha is an artist who creates intuitive, energetic, and visionary acrylic paintings on canvas and wooden boards.
Her work is inspired by the flowing energy of life itself. For Sasha, painting is a way to process the emotions and energy that move through her; they are the spark that ignites her creative fire. She rarely begins with a set plan; each piece unfolds as a journey of curiosity and discovery.
Her paintings often delve into the mystical spaces between worlds; the unseen layers of energy, emotion, and spirit that shape our reality.
Art has been a constant presence in Sasha's life for as long as she can remember. She drew frequently as a child and studied art throughout her NCEA years then went on to complete a Bachelor of Creative Technologies. In 2021, she picked up the paintbrush again and uncovered a whole new style, which she has been nurturing ever since.
Recurring motifs in Sasha's work; fish, winged insects, animals, eyes, shapes, and expressive linework; emerge organically, flowing intuitively from her onto the surface.
