Silke Hendel is a Northland-based abstract artist known for her bold, expressive use of colour and light. Her vibrant paintings are inspired by Aotearoa’s landscapes, nature, and shifting light; capturing fleeting moments of beauty and transforming them into lasting joy. After more than 30 years in Wellington, Silke returned to her Northland roots to paint full-time, reconnecting with the land that first ignited her creativity.
Her distinctive style blends flowing forms, rich colour palettes, and dynamic compositions that radiate movement and emotional depth. Each artwork is a celebration of nature and light; offering viewers a joyful, uplifting escape.
