Alan Muller
Wood Work

Originally from South Africa, Alan Muller emigrated to New Zealand in 1994, living in both the Waikato and Auckland before settling in Kerikeri in 2000 to retire. Retirement offered the freedom to finally explore his lifelong interest in woodwork, which quickly evolved from a hobby into a deep passion. Self-taught in the art of woodturning, Alan finds the craft both challenging and rewarding. His work celebrates the natural beauty of timber, highlighting each piece’s unique grain, form, and character through precise and thoughtful turning. For Alan, woodturning is more than a craft; it’s a daily source of inspiration.
