Ruth Francis is a Northland-based artist whose work is a loose, lyrical response to the natural world. Drawing on memory as a creative tool, she creates emotive pieces that capture the feelings, colours, and atmosphere of places she has experienced. Whether painting, printmaking, working with clay, or exploring photography, Ruth allows each piece to unfold organically; letting it weave its own quiet story.
Inspired by nature and guided by intuition, her multidisciplinary approach embraces the journey of making as much as the final work. Her art invites reflection and connection, offering glimpses of familiar landscapes reimagined through memory and emotion.
