Wendy Galbraith
Wendy Galbraith’s paintings reflect her concern for the environment. She works in acrylics and uses layers of paint and pattern to create her semi- abstract compositions.
Her palette is often limited to black , white and earth colours but she sometimes also use a combination of brights.
As Wendy paints she creates her own story and conveys this to the viewer.
When Wendy and her family first moved to Kerikeri she joined the art classes at Cherry Park House. She became President of the Art Society and organised the annual exhibitions. She then founded a co-operative art gallery in Kerikeri which ran successfully for 12 years. Wendy’s work is in collections world wide.
